RIDE ONLY ON MARKED MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAILS
Please stay on the marked mountain bike trails. In the meantime, there are several of them in Brandnertal. Please respect that biking is not allowed on trails not explicitly cleared for mountain bikers. These paths are reserved for hikers. In this way, conflicts can be prevented.
DON’T CUT THE TRAILS
Be sure to stay on the marked routes, and do not cut across meadows, pastures, or forest floors. Even if there are people who find so-called “shortcuts” funny – shortcutting hurts the turf and causes great damage as well as soil erosion! If you are observed or caught doing so, you must expect that your ticket will be confiscated without replacement. As you can see, it is really important to us that no meadows, pastures or forest ground outside the marked trails are ridden on and thus damaged.
RIDE ONLY DURING OPERATING HOURS
The wild animals also need their rest. Especially at dusk, wild animals forage and should not be startled. Therefore, respect that all trails may only be ridden during the operating hours of the bike park. Outside these, the routes of the bike park are closed without exception.
CLOSE GATES & PASTURE GATES
The routes of the Bikepark Brandnertal run for the most part in the pasture area of the local Alps. Here grazing cattle are on the move. Therefore, it is important that pasture gates, barriers or gates are closed again after the passage. Otherwise, grazing livestock may get into areas that are dangerous to fall or become undetectable.
DO NOT LEAVE WASTE IN NATURE
Please be careful to put all trash, packaging, or the like back in your backpack and dispose of it properly in the nearest trash can or at home. If you find trash anywhere during your bike day, it’s best to just take it with you or let our track staff know. Let’s work together to keep our environment clean.
AVOID NOISE & BRAKE MARKS
Even if one or the other trail would like to elicit a whoop – we are in the mountains and should therefore avoid noise as much as possible. Do not leave any traces in nature. On single trails, shared trails or forest roads, avoid skid marks or slipping tires at all costs. This damages the subsoil and very quickly leads to erosion by water. During the next storm, sections of road can be literally washed away.
SHARED TRAILS AND COMMON AREAS
“Shared trails” are trails that are shared by mountain bikers and hikers. These “shared trails” are signposted accordingly for both user groups. Mutual respect and careful driving as well as walking avoids conflicts. Show yourself as a biker on “Shared Trails” from your best side and give hikers the right of way! Besides, a friendly greeting between two outdoor enthusiasts never hurts.
ALWAYS RIDE CONSIDERATELY. RESPECT FLORA & FAUNA
Always ride respectfully – not only on “shared trails” but also on bike park trails. Remember that you too could fall at some point in a blind spot. Keep as quiet as possible when passing grazing animals or wild animals and do not frighten them under any circumstances. Ride slowly past animals.
DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS?
Your mountain bike must be suitable for the use in a bike park.
We recommend at least 150mm of travel at the front and rear, but the frame and attachments must also be suitable for off-road use. If you are not sure, consult your bike dealer or the manufacturer of your bike.
It is also important that your bike is fully operational and safe to use. Regular service at your trusted dealer ensures this. If you don’t have a trusted dealer yet, then come to the Wallride Store in Rankweil.
Children under the age of 10 are only allowed to use the bike park and the bike trails when accompanied by an adult. Minors are only allowed to use the trails with the consent of the legal guardian.
Drive on half-sight means, that you have the possibility to stop safely at any time, and an oncoming road user (e.g. on forest roads) also has the possibility to stop.
Camping is not permitted in the day parking lot. However, we have a designated area (terrace parking) for parking motorhomes (charges apply, only for bike park users with a valid ticket)
Because tear offs are often carelessly discarded or unintentionally lost and grazing animals or game could die from them, they are strictly prohibited in the Bikepark Brandnertal. In general, it should be ensured that no trash is left in the mountains. Please take care of nature, take your trash to the valley and dispose it correctly.
